Voice and Party Privacy
ourgames.life plans to add private "Party" rooms where you can talk and text with friends while you play. This page explains, in plain language, how we intend to protect your voice and conversations when that feature is introduced.
Party rooms are a planned feature and not yet live. This policy will take effect when they are introduced and will be updated as the feature launches.
Party rooms are a planned feature
Party voice and text rooms are not live yet. ourgames.life is an Early Access product operated by an independent developer, and Party rooms are on our roadmap using real-time technology such as WebRTC/LiveKit.
The commitments described on this page govern how Party rooms will work when they are introduced. We are publishing them now so you know what to expect before you ever turn a microphone on. If any detail changes as we build the feature, we will update this page.
Rooms are private and expire
Party rooms will be private by design. They are meant for you and the people you invite, not for public broadcast or discovery.
Rooms are intended to be temporary. A room exists for the duration of your session and expires afterward — it is not a permanent, always-on channel. When a room ends, it is gone, and it is not kept as a persistent record of who talked to whom.
No recording or transcription by default
By default there is no continuous voice recording and no continuous transcription of Party rooms. Voice in a Party room is for talking to the other people in the room in real time — it is not silently captured, stored, or turned into text in the background.
We do not keep a full recording of your gameplay or your conversations by default. Voice and any AI processing happen only on explicit user action, and temporary audio or frames used for a specific action are deleted after that action completes rather than retained.
The AI does not listen unless you invoke it
The gaming Sidekick does not passively listen to your Party room. The AI does not join the conversation, monitor your microphone, or process your voice unless you explicitly invoke it for a specific request.
When you do invoke it, the AI acts on that one request and nothing more. There is no always-on assistant sitting in the room transcribing or analyzing what everyone says. Invoking the AI is a deliberate action you take, not a default state.
Persistent indicators and push-to-talk
Whenever your microphone is active, or whenever the AI is actively processing, ourgames.life will show a persistent, visible indicator. You should always be able to tell at a glance whether your mic is open or the AI is engaged — this is never hidden.
Party rooms will support push-to-talk, so your microphone transmits only while you choose to speak rather than staying open continuously. You stay in control of when your voice leaves your device.
How this fits the rest of ourgames.life
The same privacy-first defaults apply across the product. Planned browser gameplay screen-sharing will analyze frames only on your explicit action, and temporary frames are deleted after analysis — there is no full gameplay recording by default. YouTube walkthrough segments are embedded through the official YouTube IFrame Player API and are never downloaded; ads and player controls are never suppressed.
The AI Sidekick answers questions like how to get past a specific challenge, with spoiler controls, and can run on Anthropic Claude, an OpenAI-compatible model, or a local fallback. None of these features listen to or record you outside of the explicit actions described here.
Affiliate links and payments
Our "Where to get it" links point to official storefronts and are plain links today — we do not currently earn a commission on them. If affiliate "Buy & Download" links are ever introduced, they would be clearly disclosed as affiliate links (we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you) wherever they appear.
We do not process game payments ourselves. Any purchase is handled entirely by the retailer, under their terms and their privacy practices.
Fan resource and trademarks
ourgames.life is an independent fan resource. It is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by any game publisher. All game names, logos, and trademarks belong to their respective owners.
Because this is an Early Access product from an independent developer, features and policies may evolve. We aim to keep this page honest about what is live today versus what is planned for the future.
