Terms of Use

ourgames.life is an independent fan resource built as a companion for players. It is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by any game developer, publisher, or platform. All game names, characters, logos, and trademarks belong to their respective owners and are used only to describe and refer to the games you play.

The service is currently in Early Access. That means it is a work in progress: features may change, break, be added, or be removed, and the experience may be incomplete or contain bugs. The service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind.

We reference "planned" features in these Terms so you know how they will be governed once they exist. Any feature described as governed "when introduced" is not necessarily live yet. Nothing in these Terms should be read as a promise that a planned feature will ship, or ship on any particular timeline.

You agree to use ourgames.life for lawful, personal, non-commercial purposes. You may not misuse the service, attempt to break or overload it, probe or scrape it in ways that harm its operation, circumvent security or rate limits, or use it to violate anyone else's rights.

You may not use the service to cheat in ways that violate a game's own terms, to harass others, to distribute malware, or to infringe intellectual property. You are responsible for complying with the terms of service of any game, storefront, or third-party platform you use alongside ourgames.life.

We embed YouTube walkthrough segments through the official YouTube IFrame Player API. Videos are streamed from YouTube and are never downloaded, re-hosted, or copied by us, and we do not suppress or block YouTube's ads or player controls. You agree to use embedded video content in accordance with YouTube's own terms.

The AI gaming Sidekick answers questions like "how do I get past this part" and offers spoiler controls so you decide how much you want revealed. It is powered by an AI model (such as Anthropic's Claude or an OpenAI-compatible model), with a local fallback when an external model is unavailable. The Game Academy provides structured lessons in a similar spirit.

AI-generated guidance is informational only and may be incomplete, outdated, or simply wrong. Games are updated, differ across versions and platforms, and can behave unexpectedly. Always use your own judgment before acting on any suggestion, and do not rely on the Sidekick or Academy as authoritative. We are not responsible for outcomes in your game, on your account, or with your hardware that result from following AI guidance.

Do not submit sensitive personal information, credentials, or confidential material to the Sidekick. Treat its answers as a helpful starting point, not a guarantee.

We are developing optional features that are not live yet, and these rules will apply when they are introduced. Browser gameplay screen-sharing with on-demand AI frame analysis will let you share your screen and ask the AI to look at a specific moment. When introduced, frames will be captured and analyzed only on your explicit action, individual frames will be deleted after analysis, and there will be no full gameplay recording by default.

Private "Party" voice and text rooms (built on WebRTC/LiveKit) will let you talk and chat with people you invite. When introduced, voice will be processed only when you actively use it; there will be no continuous voice recording or transcription by default. You will be responsible for how you behave in Party rooms and for anything you say or share there.

Because these features rely on capturing your screen or audio, you agree that when you enable them you will not capture or share content you are not permitted to share, and you will respect the privacy of anyone else visible or audible in your session.

You may submit content such as questions, prompts, messages, and (in planned Party rooms, when introduced) voice and text. You keep ownership of what you submit. By submitting content, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to process and use it as needed to operate and improve the service and to provide the response or feature you requested.

You are solely responsible for the content you submit and confirm you have the right to submit it. Do not submit anything unlawful, infringing, hateful, harassing, or that discloses another person's private information without permission.

We may remove content or limit features at our discretion, particularly where content appears to violate these Terms or the rights of others.

We plan to include affiliate "Buy & Download" links to authorized retailers such as GOG, Green Man Gaming, Fanatical, Epic, and publisher stores. When introduced, these links will be clearly disclosed as affiliate links: we may earn a commission if you make a purchase, at no extra cost to you.

We do not process game payments. Any purchase happens entirely on the retailer's own site, under that retailer's terms, pricing, and privacy policy. We are not the seller, are not a party to your transaction, and are not responsible for the products, pricing, delivery, licensing, or support provided by any retailer.

Always review the retailer's terms before buying, and direct any purchase, refund, or delivery issues to that retailer.

If the service offers accounts, you are responsible for keeping your access credentials secure and for activity that occurs under your account. Let us know promptly if you believe your account has been compromised.

We may suspend, limit, or terminate your access at any time, with or without notice, if you violate these Terms, misuse the service, or create risk or legal exposure for us or others, or if we discontinue the service. You may stop using the service at any time.

Because this is an Early Access product, we may also change or discontinue any part of the service, including planned features, without liability to you.

The service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or uninterrupted availability. We do not warrant that AI guidance is correct, that the service will be error-free, or that any planned feature will be delivered.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, ourgames.life and its independent developer will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages, or for lost data, lost progress, or account issues in any game or third-party service, arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us, if any, in the twelve months before the claim.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

We may update these Terms as the product evolves and as planned features launch. When we make material changes we will update the date on this page. Your continued use of the service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.

These Terms are operated by an independent developer as an Early Access, fan-made resource, and are not tied to any company legal entity or physical address.
